The Event
Girlypop UK transformed Athena Events Venue into a vibrant, family-friendly festival of pop music, nostalgia, and pure fun. The event combined live tributes to pop icons with interactive experiences—from glitter stalls and candy floss to photo opportunities and dance floors—creating a day that appealed to all ages.
Athena’s main space provided the scale and flexibility needed for multiple zones: a main stage for live performances, dedicated areas for food and treats, and plenty of room for guests to move between activities. The production team brought lighting, sound, and atmosphere together to match Girlypop’s energetic brand.
The result was an indoor celebration that felt like a summer festival under one roof—with the added benefit of British weather not getting in the way. Families, groups of friends, and pop fans left with lasting memories and glowing feedback.

Athena’s combination of a large, flexible space and central Leicester location made it the ideal venue for Girlypop UK. We could host a main stage, food and retail stalls, and hundreds of guests in one flowing experience—something that would have been much harder to achieve in a traditional theatre or hall.
